What Causes Painful Urination And Pain In The Hips?

For the last few days, I ve been having pain during and after urination. The pain is radiating into my hips. From a scan done last Tuesday, it was discovered that I have hydronephrosis. I was put on antibiotics and Tramadol for pain. Neither are helping. What should I do?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
In my opinion the hydronephrosis may be due to renal calculi in the past or presently.
You may also have infection in the kidneys.
Hence the antibiotics have been started for you.
A complete blood count with esr is advisable.
If the pain persists,a CT scan might be needed(presuming you had a ultrasound scan).
I find this answer helpful
