General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

If you are still having fevers after 5 days of antibiotics, I would suspect that the bacteria causing the UTI is resistant to the antibiotic, or that there is another reason for your symptoms. I would check with your doctor to see if a urine culture was done, and what bacteria it grew, and what antibiotics are effective against it. Otherwise, I would check your urinalysis again to confirm what the cause of the pain is.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Aaron Branch, General & Family Physician
