What Causes Painful Urination?

My daughter is experiencing pain when urinating. She also feels she needs to go more when she is done. We went to the doctor over the weekend and her urine came back with nothing wrong. She tends towards constipation so we are thinking this may be the problem. What are your thoughts?

Hello,
Welcome to Healthcaremagic.com.
I had gone through your question I can understand your concern about the pain and urge for urination.

There are two important concerns of said symptoms of your age ;
Urinary tract infections, if she feels fever or itching associated with the same symptoms she may either have fungal infection or bacterial one. It can be avoided by antibiotics.
She can also have small urinary bladder stone or stones that causes urge to urination with pain during micturation.

In both the cases you need to visit a general physician for further evaluation and treatment plan.
Hope my opinion will help you.
Regards
Dr Muzaffar
