What Causes Painfully Swollen Lower Legs With Redness?

I have severe swelling in both legs and feet. Also, extreme redness at the lower part of both legs. My legs are very sensitive to touch. I have been diagnosed with edema and cellulitise but no one can clear it up. It responded well to steroids but as soon as the perscription was completed it came back. I have had several ultra sounds that never shows any blood clots. It seems like lasix isn t working either. Any suggestions?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and greetings

Cellulitis require a dedicated antibiotic regimen as a treatment preferably intravenous to get the infection clear. Steroids alone won't be helpful unless combined with antibiotic.

Lasix will help in reducing the edema only if the cause is treated and here it is cellulitis.

Hope this helps
Thanks
