What Causes Painfully Swollen Shoulders, Elbows And Ankles?

Hello! I started with heel pain about a year ago. This lead to swollen ankles and I am unable to walk most days. It s that painful. My elbows, shoulders and hands also swell and hurt awful. I see swelling in the tendon area on my palms. Aleve helps a little as long as I take it 2x a day. I was given prednisone last spring for my shoulder and it does help but it s not something I want to take all the time. Doctor said arthritis but I m only 45! Help!!

I really appreciate your concern, it is the arthritis and nothing could be else, steroid is the drug of choice but it may not cure the disease but gives very good symptomatic relief, natural remission may be possible hope this information helps.
