What Causes Pale Circle And Slight Redness Around The Wound On Index Finger?
I got a slight paper cut over a week ago on my index finger knuckle and now the cut is healed, but there is a small pale hard circle where the cut was. The area is slightly sore if I bump it. There is a slight redness around the pale colored circle. Could something have gotten inside while the cut was healing?
Hi, Welcome to Healthcare Magic Forum. I have gone through your Query & I really appreciate your concern about the problem you are facing.
Brief Answer : Don't worry it's a natural process
Detailed Answer : As a physician I would like to tell you that it is a natural process of healing. The Granulation or scar tissue would have formed inside your wound giving the wound that appearance and since the healing process is still going on, thats why the pain will be there.
I advise you to keep the wound clean, dry and don't fiddle with the scar tissue and apply a OTC antibiotic cream (Ex.Neosporin) over the wound and everything will be alright in the course of time Thanks for Trusting & Posting your Query on this forum. Hope this will help you. Feel free to ask any further question. Have a nice Day.
Regards, Dr.Abhijeet
