Since you are having a mitral valve prolapse before the pregnancy. Arrhythmias are common to you. As the pregnancy is the state of hypevolemia, there is chance of hypertension. As you know there is organogenesis in the first three months any drugs are not adviced except group C drugs. You can avoid the drugs if you are not having much problem because of the condition. But if you are having much problem than you can take the drugs like digoxin, quinidine. This drugs are having high safety profile in pregnancy and can be used in arrhythmias. For hypertension magnesium sulfate is very safe and clonidine can also be used. Please take good advice of the doctor before you take the drugs.
