Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I feel as if I m having heart palpitations. I have eaten bread and cheese. I have had 1 cup of caffeine. I have had 2 cups of water. I have no health issues of heart disease. But, I have had off and on for the past week the sudden onset of what I can only describe as palpitations...throbbing heart beat that I can feel in my sternum.
Hello. I am Dr Mittal. I have read your message. I think I can help you. The recurrent episodes of palpitations are known to occur in conditions like arrhythmia. Another possible cause is hyperthyroidism. I would suggest testing a HOLTER test and Thyroid Profile. Do let us know when you get the reports. Further suggestions on medication can be suggested as per the reports. I have tried to make it as simple as possible. Feel free to contact us for any further information that you may need. Best wishes, Dr Mittal
