What Causes Palpitations After Switching From Metoprolol To Carvedilol?
My cardiologist recently changed my BP med from Metropolol 100mg once a day to Carvedilol 12.5 mg twice a day. I was on Carvedilol 1 week and had an appointment with my primary physician who upped the dosage to 25 mg twice a day as I was having heart palpitations which seemed to start right after the change in meds. I have been on the increased dosage for about 2 weeks now. The last 2 days I have felt very anxious and today I noticed my pulse is irregular....beats about 7 or 8 times and then stops, then beats again, and stops. Should I be concerned?
