What Causes Palpitations Along With Breathing Difficulty?
Hello, my doctor & cardiologist think I have SVT due to the episodes of racing heart, breathlessness and strange sensations like vibrations. These episodes are very distressing, especially as over & over again by the time I get a monitor on it s too late as the episode has passed. They say I can t have treatment until an episode can be caught on a monitor but I only had one lent to me for 48 hrs when nothing happened so now nothing is being done for me even though this is happening more frequently and I m getting more breathless with each one which is very frightening. Is there anything I can do? I find ice and cold water help a bit and carry them around with me at all times. Thank you.
PSVT is an abnormal heart rhythm, which is really frightening when it happens but you should not worry about anything. You can get B blockers or Ca channel blockers for medication, which leads to less episodes of the PSVT or get a consult by an electrophysiologist for ablation.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
