Hi, I am 20 years old and I have heart flutters every day. I got an EKG and it showed an AV block 2nd degree. The doctor then did another EKG and blood work, which came back normal. He then sent me to get a 24 hour monitor. The monitor revealed ALOT of PAC s (2795 in 24 hours to be exact), some PVC s, and couplets. They said I was okay but have PAC s. Is this dangerous? Could this damage my heart in the long run? I had SVT too but it wasn t prolonged. My symotoms are heart flutters, palpatations, occasional racing heart, hard or jolting heart beat; fear of passing out, chest tightness and sometimes I feel as if my breathing gets off but it could be in my head. I have mild health anxiety so it doesn t help the situation. I was just wondering if I should see another doctor for a second opinion? And if too many pac/PVC ectopic beats can be dangerous. My doctor said I could do a 21 day monitor and mentioned beta-blockers and said to exercise when I feel my heart skipping . I m just worried because I was told a couple of different things as results of the different tests.
