What Causes Palpitations And Chest Pressure After Mitral Valve Repair?
Hi, I had mitral valve repair done 3 yrs ago and recently a Holter monitor showed I have PVCs from lower chamber. Also if I wake up on my back, I experience chest pressure and if I sleep on my left side I get palpitations after awhile. Otherwise I am good except lately don t have as much energy. For ex. raking leaves I get tired quickly but if I rest I get my energy back. Not sure if I should be concerned? A recent stress test was ok. I do have a hyperthyroid with a goiter - I am on thyroid medication to get levels down. Thank you!

Palpitations and chest pressure are secondary to thyroid level rise and not related to valve repair as stress test is ok.
Addition of beta-blockers like Propranolol or Inderal will help to recover great after the discussion of the same with your treating physician.
