What Causes Palpitations And Nausea?

I have been having a sense that my heart is beating heavily , even though my pulse seems to be normal. This happens both during the day, at night and I have woken up to a fast heart before. Today I felt sick to my stomach. This has been happening for about two weeks.

Hello,

It can be due to nervousness. Palpitations and faster heart rate can occur if you are in an acute anxiety attack.

There is a little tricking thing you say that your resting heartbeat is more, which can be due to hyperthyroidism. So, get your thyroid profiled checked. If it is more, then you can get treated accordingly.

If you have gastrointestinal infection, then also you will have nausea, vomiting and palpitation due to their body response. This can be treated with antibiotics.

So, you need to evaluate and find the best solution for yourself. Hope this information helps you to sort out your problems.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Archana
