What Causes Palpitations Of Heart Along With Burning Sensation In Chest?

Hi, I am 44 yr old female, and lately I been feeling extra heart beats ( palpitations ) but at the same time I feel like a heart burn in the center of the chest. It goes away when my husband tap me on my back, but I get scare because sometimes the palpitations does not go away right away. I had an EKG and is always normal. An echocardiogram shows normal EF and the valves have normal function. I had an holter monitor and It did not capture any extra heart beats. I do not know what to think what it is causing the palpitations. I used to drink red wine and I totally stopped. Few months ago I was diagnosed with stomach ulcers and I was taking Nexium, I had an endoscopy and it showed 7 ulcers I was treated back then and I feel okay. I am just a little worry why I still feel the palpitations. I hope that eventhough I gave you a little bit of info this will give you an idea about my problem. Thank you.

Hello
I had gone through your question very diligently and I will try to help you out in best possible way

since your all reports related heart is normal so you need not to worry at all.

This could be due to acid reflux due to stomach hyperacidity or Hiatus hernia

I would advise you for an X ray chest and certain dietary and life style modifications
Avoid fatty fried spicy and junk food or carbonated drinks.
Have lots of fresh fruits and vegetables
Please don't lie down immediately after food
Have small and frequent food
Continue nexium with antacids or syrup sucralfate to healing of gastric ulcers to reduce acids in stomach

Hope this helps you
please feel free to ask for more clarification I will be happy to help you
