General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Palpitations can sometimes be caused due to stress which is normal but in your case, you are getting palpitations after waking up from sleep and hence it needs to be investigated.

I would advise you to get a complete blood work up done including complete blood count and thyroid profile. You should also get an ECG done to rule out any cardiac causes.

If you are having any mental stress then it needs to be addressed. You should discuss all these factors with your physician.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
