What Causes Palpitations While On Toprol And Atenolol?
I have been on topral ,atenolol,bystolic,now verapamil er 240 once a day, tried to do an ablation, having atrial tachycardia and pvcs, did a stress test Jan 23 2018 and echo,during stress test heart rate went from 165 to 232 in an instant,,, echo was ok ,still having fast heart rate and pvcs,,,now my cardiologist/ electrophysiologist wants me to try tykison and spend 3 days in hospital . I’m type 2 diabetic a1c ranges between 6.5 and 7 I’m 53 years old

Atenolol usually controls the rapid heart rate . But it is also not helpful . So your doctor has decided to put you on Tykison and wants to put under hospital observation for 3 days. I think it is good idea . So you should accept his advise .
