What Causes Palpitations While On Blood Pressure Medication?
I have had a heart attack about 12 years ago and a stroke about 2 years ago. I notice that when I am laying down my heart rate speeds up and slows down but my concern is it wakes me up sometimes. Should I call my Dr. My heart rate is usually 68 or below but it jumps to 100 sometimes. My blood pressure is 120/62. It varies some. I take blood pressure medicine.

Yes, I think it would be a good idea for you to call your cardiologist or go visit them and let them know what is going on. They will likely want to some blood tests and possibly some other testing.
