What Causes Palpitations While On Medication For Thyroid Disorder?
i take compounded thyroid meds . i am sick of having a racing heart. i have fibro and take a pain patch 25mcg. q48 hrs i feel like crap and in chronic pain 24 hrs a day. they say i should go for bio-idenicial hormones. i also have RSD from a L-brachial pleuxs shoulder injury. i am a 8 on the pain scale. this accident is since1997 and can no longer work. is there anything out there that i don t know about
I passed carefully through your question and would explain that the racing heart could be related to the pain or thyroidhormone imbalance. For this reason, I would first recommend checking thyroid hormone levels for possible dose adjustment to your therapy if necessary.
I would also recommend performing a cardiac ultrasound and a resting ECG to exclude any possible cardiac disorders. Regarding the shoulder pain, I would recommend trying Pregabaline or Gabapentine, which can help improve your situation.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka
