What Causes Partial Memory Loss After Being Intubated For Acute Pulmonary Embolism?
I had a acute pulmonary embolism and had to be intubated. I was told that while intubated and for two days after the tube was removed i was having comversatioms with family and friends. I cant not remember anything after the IUC staff began the intubation process. My memory does not pick up until 3 days after the tub was removed. Can you please tell me if this is normal?

Hi, It is the effect of dissociative anesthesia responsible for such loss of memory, which is actually a self-remitting phase rather than active pursue. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Purva Patel, General & Family Physician
