What Causes Passing Of Hard Stool When Diagnosed With Ulcerative Colitis?
Doctor, I have Ulcerative Colitis but the problem is. Every morning I poop the first poop is big, hard, dry lump like a constipation people, the second one I poop my poop is like a porridge but it is so much, the third one I poop the same as the second but the volume is reduced, the fourth one I poop is the same as the third and I want to poop again but I cant(I feel the urge and pressure in my rectum tells me to poop but I cant get it out and the second time to fourth time I poop my stomach keeps growling fees like I still want to poop and I have pressure in my rectum feels like there is a feces there but I cant get it out). Now I cant get it out whats in there. What is it doctor? Is it IBS or my UC (Ulcerative Colitis) or both of them? Please, help me.
It is due to progressive constipation. As a first line management you can take laxatives like lactulose for symptomatic relief. If symptoms persist better to consult a gastroenterologist and plan for a colonoscopy to rule out structure or growth obstructing the lumen.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
