What Causes Passing Severe Unpleasant Odour And Yellowish Stool In Infants?

Hi my baby boy is 10 1/2 months old, he has been having exploding yellow sour smelling poop for the last 4days, to the point I have 2 change his clothes every time as its seeps thro the nappy. My boy won t eat nothing and is having a magic eye 2 see what s wrong, so that means he s only drinking his milk, Is this normal??

Understanding your concern. As per your query your infant is passing severe unpleasant odour and yellowish stool . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like digestive problem , if a baby is taking medication, such as antibiotics, or is sensitive to a particular food that his mother consumes, such as dairy products or gas-producing vegetables such as broccoli and babies fed formula often produce stool that has a strong or unpleasant odor . I would suggest you to consult pediatrician for proper checkup . Doctor will take history and order stool test to confirm the diagnosis . Doctor may prescribe particular diet and digestive enzymes along with other medicines .
