What Causes Patch On The Penis Shaft?

i have this patch on the shaft of my penis i recntly went to a doctor nd e prescribed me a cream and two types of tabletd from wch 1 is a antibiotic nd also a cream. the area wch is affected also bleeds a bit like a small cut! i am worried if its normal or if there is any problem!

Hi,

It sound like a fungal infection. Try an OTC-anti fungal cream for 5 days. If the symptoms worsen or don’t improve, see a local dermatologist. Please be aware of the fact that almost all creams can cause condoms to tear in pieces. So either no sex for the time of the treatment, or washing the cream off the penis with a mild soap before using a condom. I recommend abstinence since the patch should not be irritated. No sex without a condom because the underlying condition could be contagious.
