What Causes Paused Conversation In A Child?
Hello, My little sister is 7 years old and in the last 2 months she started to have these frequent pauses during conversation or interaction, she pauses for like 15-20 secs if not longer, the issue is we call her name or physically tap her to regain her attention but it doesn t work she needs to stop on her own in order to reinteract or regain attention and after she regains attention she doesn t remember what happens ... I m not quite sure what this means or where to start in regards to a solution or if this could be a brain issue so please help !!

This sound like absence seizure .This is a type of seizures that occur in children.It's typical like a child hangs for a few seconds without loss of consciousness.
Its mostly not a serious problem .Generally, we advise People to see a neurologist for such people who would get an EEG which may have a special pattern in such conditions.
