What Causes Pea Sized Lumps On The Back Of The Head?

My 15.5 year old son noticed 2 small peas sized lumps on back of his head last night after his hair cut. They do not hurt, no headaches, no weightloss, nothing alarming. He has those in his neck at times which his ped. dr have said are his lymp nodes...is this the same?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
These could be lymph nodes or small cysts. Please have his pediatrician check the at his next appointment. If they start enlarging have him seen right away.
