What Causes Peeling Of Penile Skin After Applying Selenium Sulfide?
i recently applied topical selenium sulfide (prescribed by my doctor) for a skin issue. since then I have experienced a series of issues that suggest my immune system has been negatively affected. 1. all the skin on my scrotum is peeling off (i did not apply the selenium sulfide to same) 2. i now have a cold sore (first ever) 3. i now have a sty do you think these issues are related to the selenium sulfide? or is it just coincidence? thank you YYYY@YYYY

Hi,
It is due to contact dermatitis. Stop the Selenium preparation and apply topical steroid like Betamethasone for symptomatic relief.
If symptoms persist better to consult a dermatologist and get evaluated.
