What Causes Peeling Of Skin On The Right Thumb?

right thumb and first finger ---skin is peeling and goes deeper every day. it does get painful and , of course, red. what is going on? I am 74 years old, female, I do have type 2 Diabetes---could that have something to do with this? email to : YYYY@YYYY

Hi please get it examined to rule out neuropathy since you are a Diabetic. Meanwhile use potassium permanganate (diluted) hand wash daily. It will help--regards
