What Causes Pelvic And Abdominal Pain During An Intercourse?
Pls wat will I do about the pain in my pelvic during sex and abdominal pain for 2 to 3 yrs now...I went for medical checkup n d scan showed I AV Fluid in the pouch of Douglas caused by FID,I AV taken antibiotics n doxycine n I still feel d pain,even wen I wash myself I still feel something inside my vagina like a small bag...Please I Need Help I m scared
When PID is treated, the sexual partner/s should be treated at the same time with you to prevent recurrences. If your partner/s did not get antibiotics as well, very likely you have recurrent PID and treatment is needed again and the partner/s should get the antibiotic even if asymptomatic.
Furthermore, doxycycline should be combined with one dose of Ceftriaxone intramuscular to cover both chlamydia and gonorrhea infection. If pain continues after proper treatment then very likely you have developed chronic PID with adherences that cause pain.
