What Causes Pelvic Pain After Taking Antibiotics Post Appendix Operation?

I had an appendectomy for ruptured appendix as well as an abcest .surgery done dec9th...returned to hospital december 29th they found another abcest only 3 cm so they gave me antibiotics for another 10 days, i finished them about a week ago and i have been in pelvic pain everyday...some days far worse than others...do you think this is normal? The pain covers the entire pelvic area? They dont want to do anymore imaging but I am worried I have another abcest?

Hi,
You need to undergo a CT scan evaluation to look for the exact cause. the most probable causes of pain in your case could be
1. Alteration of intestinal flora due to long term antibiotics.
2. Residual pus pockets.
3. Adhesions of the bowel due to sepsis.
