What Causes Pelvic Pain And Thick White Discharge While Suffering From Yeast Infection?
I ve been tested for All sexual transmitted diseases and they ve all been negative . I went to the gynecologist ans he gound no signs of cancer cells but he diagnosed me with a yeast infection and gave me a pill , but I still suffer from thick white discharge , pain in my pelvis , itching , & self lubricating issues . What is wrong with me ?
Hi there. Yeast or Candida infection does cause thick curdy vaginal discharge and that is what you are having currently. And yes it can get very itchy. I suggest you take Fluconazole 150 mg once a day for about 10 days which should take care of the fungal infection. Also you should apply an antifungal cream like Clotrimazole around the vagina and on the inner parts of your thigh to prevent any spread and to take care of any residual infection there. Now as far as your pelvic pain is concerned, some people experience pelvic pain around periods and you can take Mefenamic acid and dicyclomine combination for the same around periods. If pain is unrelated to periods the get an ultrasound scan of the abdomen and pelvis and if necessary a transvaginal scan to look for any abnormality of the Uterus. Hope this helps. Take care.
