What Causes Peppery Feeling In The Mouth?

I am 44. I have no health issues. Medically boring person. I am going through a divorce and anxiety but no meds needed. I have a peppery feeling in my mouth. There are no sores. When I lick my lips they burn as if I have rubbed jalapeño oil on them.

Hi...
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns...

As per your complain the symptoms seems to be pointing towards burning mouth syndrome in which there is a burning sensation in mouth along with pain and stress can be a probable cause of it..
Other causes can be dry mouth, oral infections like thrush, nutritional deficiency of iron and vitamin B12 , acid reflux, diabetes, hormonal imbalances etc..
Consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and treatment of underlying cause can solve the problem..As of now you can take supportive treatment like gargling with numbing mouthwash, take anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen, do cold water rinses and suck ice..
Drink plenty of water, avoid hot and spicy food and chew sugarfree chewing gums.
Keep stress under control by meditation..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
