What Causes Persistent Abdominal Boating With Vomiting?
I am a 53 yr. old female who takes morphine and Percocet for chronic back pain. Sunday my abdomen was very bloated and I threw up (5x), part of a meal I had eaten 12 hours prior. I felt really full and still do. I do suffer from constipation, although that day I had loose stools. I am tired of the bloating and pain I also have laxacin and lactulose, but do not take as directed. is it possible to be so impacted that your digested meal has no where to go except up and out? sick and tired
Proton pump inhibitors like Omeprazole or esomeprazole 20 mg twice daily for 4 weeks. H 2 receptor antagonists like Ranitidine, Famotidine to be taken before food. Antimicrobial therapy with Clarithromycin if H. pylori infection is suspected. Sucralfate can also be used to decrease the gastric irritation. Lactulose may cause increase in bloating sensation.so avoid lactulose for now. OMEZ insta sachet to be diluted in half a glass of water and to be taken when pain is severe. It would help to relieve pain. Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
