What Causes Persistent Abdominal Pain After Taking A Depo-Provera Shot?
Hello DR. I had laparotomy surgery on my right side last year in October. Three months later (in March 2016), i went back for review and my GP advised that I have cystic mess developing on my left side. He put me on depo-prover to monitor the development of the cystic mess. A week later following the depo-porvera shot, i started having continuous bleeding for a week followed by 3-4 weeks of brown discharge and then would stop for 5-6 days and start again. The last period i had was with thick blood cloth and brown discharge for a week. It stoped in early July 2016. Though i am not bleeding, i still have abdominal pains. The pain can last up to 24 hours. I am very worried and need help. Thankyou El Dablieu.
It is due to some sort of gastric infection. Take some antibiotic like norflox-tz or oflox-oz after an expert opinion along with meftal-spaz or cyclopam for the abdominal cramps. Take cap rekool-d or omez-d empty stomach. If still not improved then you have to go for abdominal ultrasound to isolate the cause and take further treatment.
