Hi,
Noted your history of developing
ischemic colitis after
spinal surgery, undergoing treatment under the care of a Gastroenterologist and took
second opinion of another Gastroenterologist.
Still in pain, loose stools and so on.
First of all get a colonoscopy and biopsy.
MRI or CT Angiography to substantiate the diagnosis.
Stool tests for 3 consecutive days.
Antibiotics and
Metronidazole course since white cell counts are raised and if stool tests are suggestive of intestinal infection.
Probiotics.
Identify the foods and beverages, factors like anxiety and stress and control of these will help you further.
If the medical line of management does not help then take an opinion of a Gastro Surgeon too.
Consider and get investigated for any
autoimmune disease and get treated if found to be positive.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, ENT and General Surgeon
