What Causes Persistent Acute Pain In Right Upper Abdomen And Back During Pregnancy?
Hello. I m 22 weeks pregnant. Since last two months feeling acute pain which starts at right upper abdomen (Just below the breast) and gradually spreads towards sides and back. Since one week pain has become constant. Laying down on left side gives temporary relief. Doctor said that it is nothing but strain in muscles due yo increasing bump size. She suggested me massage with mustard oil. The pain is so acute that affects my daily routine badly. What to do?
Hi.Can understand your concern.As per your query the pain you are feeling is due to baby growing inside which exerts pressure on womb.It does happen in 2 and 3 trimester.You should not worry and enjoy your pregnancy...If lying to left side reliefs you you can do that for sometime in between.Take rest for sometime after having food so that food is properly digested.As baby starts kicking and moving your symptoms will gradually disappear.Each lady has different symptoms during pregnancy....Take some precautions like avoid lifting heavy things,do not bend much,avoid climbing stairs.or any stressful work...Do gentle massaging with oil as directed by your doctor.you can have walk daily .It will be good for you and your baby....If you have any severe pain or cramping you should consult your gynaecologist soon.
