Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Persistent Anxiety Despite Taking Medication?
I have persistent anxiety. I take celexa 20mgs and have been prescribed upto 4 mgs of klonopin a day. I ve cut myself back to 2 mgs a day. I ve tried a ton of medicines but celexa and klonopin seem to work better than anything else. Is there anything else that I could try? I m not your normal patient. My anxiety is all day every day.
If you are good with these medications then there is no need to change medicine. Reduce anxiety need life style modifications mainly reliving stress. Don't be panic. Do regular exercise for 30 mins per day. You can start yoga and meditation also. All these will help you to relieve anxiety on long term without any medicine.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nirav Nimavat, General & Family Physician
