yes, i am a a little concerned. i have been having a wierd sense of smell, i smell like a burning smell, i don t think it;s related to seizures, but i am way over do for a checkup. i saw the symtoms said it could be seizures. is there anything else that causes this? i am under a lot of stress.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of persistent burning smell in the nose which can occur due to many reasons like allergic rhinitis, chemical burn, facial nerve trauma, allergy to cream or lotion, and cold. It could be olfactory hallucination as well.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination. Doctor may order nasal endoscopy, throat swab test and blood test to confirm the diagnosis. Doctor may prescribe proper course of antibiotics for rapid recovery. Avoid itching and pricking nose with any sharp object. For now do warm saline nasal rinses.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
