What Causes Persistent Chest Pain, Breathlessness And Heart Palpitations?
Hi Doctor Ilir ! I have a question for the Health of my heart ! I have about two years experiencing sharp chest pain lasting for seconds , shortness of breathe, palpitation! As usual my bp runs low around 108/68! I have Been several times in er ( last time was 02/16) everything comes back clear! Last year in January I had a stress test which was normal too, two years ago I had a ct chest normal results too, ekg ultrasounds done normal results! I m still experiencing the simptoms and I m worried that something it s wrong with my heart! Do I need to repeat the tests or any advice ! Thanks
Stress test is quite good at ruling out a heart issue. This is predictive for more than a year after getting one.
If someone has basically all the tests and nothing is found for heart issues and the person is still very worried, perhaps the psychological condition might need to be addressed. Cannot say in your particular case, but generally.
And, other causes of chest tenderness are trauma, posture, muslce pulls inflammation of the area where the ribs attach (costochondritis).
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
