What Causes Persistent Chest Pain From Morning?

After waking up in the morning, I drank some cold water and then experience sharp pain in my chest (on the left side). This pain has been persistent and my chest hurts when I operate the steering wheel of my car with my left hand. Please help. Thanks!

Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Possibility of musculoskeletal pain is more in your case because your pain is associated with movements.
But since it is left sided chest pain, better to rule out heart related diseases first.
So get done ecg and 2d echo. If both these are normal then no need to worry for cardiac diseases.
Musculoskeletal pain is more likely in your case.
So avoid movements causing pain. Avoid bad postures in sleep. Avoid heavyweight lifting and strenuous exercise.
Apply warm water pad on affected areas. Take painkiller and muscle relaxant drugs.
Don't worry, you will be alright but first rule out heart related diseases.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks m
