Hello, 2.5 months ago I had a serious bacterial infection in my mouth. I had antibiotics and it went away after about 5 days but some of the symptoms stayed such as constant conjestion, as well as coughing up phlem. Now my throat is starting to swell up again and I can t swollen anymore (just like before). I don t want to keep taking antibiotics but I m in serious pain. The roof of my mouth I noticed is also white.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of persistent cough and congestion while having bacterial infection in mouth seems to be severe upper respiratory tract infection. It seems that you are constantly getting exposed to allergens.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to visit pulmonologist once and get yourself examined. You should go for pulmonary function tests to find out exact extent of infection.
Avoid cold carbonated beverages. Take proper course of antibiotics along with bronchiodilators. Avoid oily, sharp and spicy food and take diet rich in multivitamins. Drink plenty of fluids.
You should maintain proper oral hygiene and avoid intake of outside food.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
