What Causes Persistent Cough And Tightness In The Chest?

I have had a cough for 18 days. It came after a cold. The first 8 days were intense all day deep coughs with some mucus. Over the past week or so I have been somewhat short of breathe especially when trying to suppress a cough. Over the past 2 or 3 days whenever I cough I feel a tightness in the chest/ lungs. Is this a normal cough or something that needs to be checked out?

It can be due to some sort of chest infection for which take some antibiotics like moxikind-cv or azithral after an expert opinion along with diominic-dca or wikoryl for chest discomfort. Take syrup bro-zedex or respital-p for cough. Do warm water gargles and take steam inhalation.
