What Causes Persistent Cough Despite Taking Antibiotics For Bronchitis?
Hello, I have been suffering from a cough for seven months now. It began when I was diagnosed with bronchitis then a month later I was diagnosed with a sinus infection. I took all the medicine they gave me. Now in July I have gone back and they said I still had a sinus infection so they gave me a stronger medication. It has been 2 weeks and the symptoms have not changed. Why am I still coughing and with phlegm after three doses of antibiotics for seven months now?

Cough may persist after treatment with antibiotics in bronchitis because the secretions accumulated in your lung should come out, usually cough meant for that purpose, usually in bronchitis conditions cough will persist for long time so try cough syrups, mucolytics and other things
