What Causes Persistent Cough From An Irritated Epiglottis?
Hi Dr I have suffering from an irritation from my epiglottis for 2months now, whenever it starts I cant stop coughing and sometime s I even vomit during the cough my throat is red please help urgently and im coughing as I speak, what worries me too much is that I always wet my panty during coughing
There are many medical conditions that can cause irritated epiglottis. One of the common causes can be acid reflux. I suggest using antacids such as Maalox three times a day. I also suggest using Omeprazole 20 mg in the morning before breakfast.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
