What Causes Persistent Cough, Sickness With Throat Swelling And Pain?

I have had a persistant cough for 7 weeks, i had an xray on my chest last week, and have been on antibiotics, my caugh feels as thoe its getting worst keep being sick, and now the left side of my through is swollen and painful, squishy feeling next to my airways, should i be worried?

7 week of cough is definitely a good reason to worry. There are a host of other possible causes of the symptom. I think I would like to examine you. However, short of that, I would suggest that you have a test- ct scan of the chest.

This will tell us about your condition more accurately. I will strongly recommend that you go ahead with the cect chest.

A bronchoscope testing may be a good idea too.
The fluid collection can be used for further testing.
