What Causes Persistent Dark Itchy Spots Below The Ear?

Hi, I have two painful identical black spots on the exact spot just below my ears. They are very sensitive to touch and do not heal neither do they swell like pimples. I am getting worried as they have been there over 18 months and I always try to scratch of the dried patch as they are really itchy. What can they be? Could they be related to Lymph issues as I have always had a small swollen lymph node on either side of my neck near the back of my neck? Thanks.

Hi,

It could be an eczematous patch or neurodermatitis or acanthosis nigricans. Its difficult to reach a definitive diagnosis with the info provided however, I would advise you to visit a dermatologist and seek help.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
