What Causes Persistent Diarrhea While Treating H. Pylori And Acid Reflux?
I have H-pylori and acid refluz...Every morning for the past 3 weeks..I have loose stools that last for about two hours. I m finding that I have to get up extra early before I can leave the house. I am also burping and feeling bloated. Should I see my endocrinologist?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of persistent diarrhea while treating H. pylori and acid reflux which is mainly due to production of acid/ bile and accumulation of gas due to too much swallowed air. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to drink plenty of water to prevent dehydration. You should take few preventive measures such as keep bed raised on bed side. Avoid large meal. You should take small but frequent meals. Avoid taking stress. If symptoms keeps on persisting, visit Gastroenterologist once for evaluation and start treatment as per diagnosis. Your symptoms will resolve. Avoid hot, sharp spicy foods as it will leads to excessive acid production. Take diet rich in soft, plain and fiber rich food. Avoid pulses, chocolates, fatty food from diet. Take pro-kinetics such as Domperidone.Take antacids such as omeprazole after meals.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
