Hi Doctor, My baby is 11 months now , for last 5 days she is having loose motion i checked with my doctor they given zinc vital syrup but still its not control having some greeny with watery poop.. because of that loose motion now she is suffering with rashes around the places please guide me to control the loose motion and rashes.. thank you

Hi,

Loose motions indicate the possibility of bowel infection/lactose intolerance. This can be diagnosed by specific pathological tests followed by cause-specific treatment under the guidance of pediatrician.

The rash around genitals is due to frequent cleaning of the part after each motion. This irritates the delicate skin on the part & produces the rash. Very gentle cleaning with soft & warm water soaked cotton swab, applying moisturizer helps.
