What Causes Persistent Discomfort In Lower Right Abdomen And Groin Area?

I have fairly persistent discomfort in the lower right quadrant of my abdomen which at times seems to travel toward my groin. This discomfort kind of comes and goes, but I ve been experiencing it for several years. My doctors say I do not have a hernia. I also have fairly persistent lower back discomfort which seems to merge with my abdominal issues. I ve pretty much had back issues my entire adult life. I ve been told I have degenerative back disorder. I guess arthritis.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Arthritis pain do not radiate to front over groin region. If the hernia is ruled out thoroughly, possible ureter calculus or gravels in the urinary system can show up as radiating pain in groin and lower abdomen. In my clinic, I do recommend a urine culture with ultrasound of the abdomen and pelvis for best possible guidelines of cure.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
