What Causes Persistent Dizziness And Headache Despite Taking Medication?
My name is Brigette ...I was examined by my doctor and he found I have bppv, positional vertigo. He gave me drugs to cease the dizziness and headaches that I had but I see no progress in my state . I still have discomfort on my head and also my eyes feel weird at some point .I had a CT scan some time back but everything was normal and had my eyes checked and my glasses lense was changed .. But still I m wondering why I m not improving . Please help
BPPV is primarily treated with a maneuver called Epley's maneuver.
It is a series of moves that are supposed to effectively treat this inner ear disorder. Images and instructions are available online.
If the vertigo is not related to BPPV, then Epley would not be effective so if you do not observe any change in symptoms after performing it, you may need to be reassessed.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Michelle Gibson James, General & Family Physician
