What Causes Persistent Dizziness And Light Headedness?
Hi im a 28 year old male, I ve been suffering with dizziness, lightheadedness, zoned out feeling for the last 2 weeks. I don t feel like it s getting any better nor worst but it has really been affecting me in a negative way and in starting to get worried. There is parts in the day where I can manage it well and times when it s unbearable to the point where I need to sit down and relax. I feel like it s at it s worst in the evening nighttime hours. When I wake up its not as bad but I start feeling it more and more as the day progresses. I use prescription glasses and have never felt this way before. Just recently went to the eye doctor and she did get me set on a new stronger prescription but I honestly don t think that is the reason why I feel the way I do. When im at home im usually in bed because I feel that the dizziness and zoned out feeling is worse when stand up or of I do anything physical. Any idea on what I might have going on?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of persistent dizziness and light headedness . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like migraine , meniere's disease , inner ear infection or angina . Sinusitis can also cause such symptoms .
Sometimes there can be simple reasons like low iron level in blood and low blood sugar level. If there is shortness of breath , dizziness and fatigue then consult cardiologist without any delay , but as per your age it doesn't seems to me that you have any problem related to heart .
For now take steam and do warm saline gargles. So you may consult ENT specialist for ear problem or neurologist for migraine . For now avoid bending forward and drink green tea thrice a day .
Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
