What Causes Persistent Dull Pain In Testicles?

i have a feeling like my underwear is caught on my testicle, a dull achey feeling, no lumps or redness or swelling, just the pinching feeling, what could this be? I had it a few weeks ago and saw the doctor who said it was nothing to be concerned with, but its back and quite uncomfortable...

Dear thanks for the question.

I share your concerns as this problem has come again. There can be infection in testicle. Even loose underwear can lead to pain because of hanging. There is a possibility of vericocele too. Some time even UTI can cause mild persistent pain in testicle. Sexual contact can also be a reason.

You need to under go thorough examination by a surgeon and get an ultrasound scan which will help in diagnosis. Majority of patients require a course of antibiotic and anti inflammatory for a week. Abstain from sex till you are fine.
